The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a career of consistent achievement in a telemarketing sales or business development role with sound business acumen. Specifically, this individual must have experience promoting technology solutions and services to senior managers in large organisations. It would be desirable for the candidate to have some knowledge and experience in the Web Content Management area and have an understanding of this space.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for identification, qualification and lead generation of new business opportunities as well as maintaining and nurturing the sales pipeline. The role is to set meetings in which there are qualified business opportunities for the sales team to follow-up; the candidate will therefore be responsible for achieving and exceeding the monthly target for identifying qualified opportunities and reporting on results. The candidate will be part of an established and successful new business development team that is part of the marketing department in Alterian.
Other responsibilities include:
� Managing and developing a prospect pipeline
� �Opening doors� and identifying opportunities for potential business
� Providing fully qualified appointments to the commercial team
� Making timely and appropriate follow up calls to secure appointments
� Recording accurate and timely contact history on the company Customer Relationship Management system (salesforce.com)
� Read information and attend webinars on a regular basis on product lines to continue to learn and maximise skill sets to grow knowledge in the business.
Technical skills
Essential
� High level of competency in Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Outlook
� Detailed knowledge and experience of the Internet
� Previous experience of working with Salesforce.com or any database to this level
� Experienced in promoting complex high-tech solutions to senior managers in larger organisations
� A strong telemarketing/lead generation background in the software sector.
